Brendan has over 30 years’ experience in the Natural Resource British Columbia forest sector having worked in silviculture, timber pricing and fibre supply. He began his career on the West Coast of Canada in silviculture before shifting his focus to fibre supply. Brendan is a seasoned senior forest professional who is passionate about people development, continuous improvement and building healthy business results with a focus on safety, people and processes.
In Brendan’s current role as Senior Advisor, Professional Practice & Mentorship, he focuses on four broad areas:
| Developing our professional staff and those individuals working towards designation in one of the regulated professions under the Professional Governance Act (PGA), with a focus on professional development within the organization.
| Aligning Strategic’s robust Quality Management System (QMS) and professional practice management plans (PPMP) with our service delivery for permit to practice (i.e. firm regulation) requirements under the PGA.
| Monitoring legislative and regulatory changes that affect clients and professionals and communicating those changes through the organization.
| Increasing engagement with professional regulatory bodies, industry associations, educational institutions, clients, and governments.
