North Coast Operations Manager & Director of Timber Valuation
Dave joined Strategic Natural Resource Consultants in 2011 as a Timber Cruiser in the Campbell River office. His forestry career began in 2002 with TimberWest at their sawmill, where he developed ground level knowledge that has served him throughout his career. He later worked with a major forest licensee and a forest consulting firm, gaining valuable experience in, timber development, timber valuation and progressing into a crew leadership role.
After six months in the Campbell River office, Dave transitioned to Strategic’s Port McNeill office, where he continued to expand his professional capabilities as a Team Lead. Over the years, his responsibilities steadily grew as he successfully managed larger teams and increasingly complex projects, eventually advancing into his current senior leadership role, North Island Operations Manager and Director of Timber Valuation.
Dave brings extensive expertise in stand valuation, timber cruising, quality control, and scaling. His technical knowledge and operational insight are relied upon across the organization and play an important role in supporting informed decision-making and delivering high-quality results for Strategic’s clients.
In his current role, Dave oversees project flow, team development, and business growth for Strategic’s North Island operations. He is known for his calm, thoughtful approach to leadership and his ability to foster a professional, supportive working environment. Dave’s steady leadership style helps guide teams through complex projects while maintaining strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and the communities Strategic serves.
