Staff Spotlight: Kristin Storry, RPF, RPBio – Resource Manager, and Lead, Biology & Environment
This month, we’re proud to spotlight Kristin Storry, a respected professional whose work is helping shape sustainable natural resource management across British Columbia.
Kristin offers a uniquely diverse skill set shaped by her work in forestry, aquaculture, and sustainable resource management. Throughout her career, she has led the development of programs and management systems designed to meet regulatory, certification, and best practice requirements.
As the Sustainable Development Manager with Grieg Seafood BC, she played a key role in advancing internationally recognized sustainability certifications for coastal BC salmon farming operations. Her work contributed to major milestones, including achieving the first multi-site Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) certification globally.
Today, Kristin continues to make a meaningful impact through her work in natural resource consulting and management. As a Registered Professional Forester (RPF) and Registered Professional Biologist (RPBio), she is actively involved in projects that support sustainable forestry, community resilience, and responsible development. Her contributions include wildfire resiliency planning and environmental restoration efforts, including work tied to the Telegraph Cove recovery project.
Kristin also serves on the Board of Directors for the Association of Professional Biology (APB), where she holds the roles of Treasurer and Community Representative for Campbell River. The APB represents professional biologists across British Columbia and works to advance the practice of biology through professional development, leadership, and guidance for resource professionals. She is also a member of the Audit Committee for the College of Applied Biology, volunteering to ensure Professional Biologists meet the College’s public‑interest standards.
Known for her thoughtful leadership, technical expertise, and collaborative approach, Kristin brings a strong sense of purpose to everything she does. Her work continues to strengthen connections between communities, industry, and the environment.
